Simplify the process of Getting Divorce

Divorce is a painful, stressful and expensive process, but it doesn’t have to be.  Some couples are in agreement or “amicable” about separation and divorce terms so getting a divorce doesn’t always have to be a heated, contested and expensive ordeal. If you AND your spouse fully agree to ALL the terms and conditions of your divorce you may qualify to file an uncontested divorce on your own (as a “pro se” party) saving you BOTH lots of time, money and stress.

We help make your “uncontested divorce” an easy and economical option to end the contract of marriage by offering an alternative to the form driven, cookie-cutter OCAP (online court assistance program) which can be cumbersome and confusing.  The divorce documents you file will be more personal than the OCAP cookie-cutter alternative and you will have access to more info/assistance than is offered by the computer generated online OCAP process.  And, in most cases, neither you nor your spouse will need to appear in Court for your divorce, as long as it remains, throughout the process, a truly an amicable uncontested matter.  We also offer a FLAT-RATE FEE for our uncontested divorce services (flat rate fee does not include court filing fees, divorce education class fees, notary or service of process fees if applicable).

To see if this service might be a good fit for you OR start the process, just call our office for a free telephone consultation.

SOME of the major things you and your spouse will have to agree upon BEFORE filing an uncontested divorce are:

  • Division of ALL real estate, personal property, assets and debts.
  • Alimony (spousal support).
  • Child custody, visitation and financial support for the child(ren) including: child support, and health and life insurance coverage. (Note that uncontested divorces involving couples with CHILDREN may not be feasible unless/until certain other requirements are met)
  • Any other big issues specifically related to your marriage which require resolution.
  • Residency in Utah for 3 months OR 6 months if minor children are at issue in the divorce.

The above is NOT an extensive list of issues you and your spouse may need to resolve prior to filing an uncontested divorce.
